In April 2017, I had planned, funded and completed my first solo trip international trip to Africa. Volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania for four weeks at Baraa Primary School teaching basic number, colour and handwriting skills (in Swahili!) to kinder garden children. I then spent five days hiking to the summit of t.Kilimanjaro – just! Finishing my time with an African Safari in Botswana.
